Painting notes:

The Best Intentions (SwedishDen goda viljan) is a 1992 Swedish dramatic film directed by Bille August and written by Ingmar Bergman. It is semi-autobiographical, telling the story of the complex relationship between Bergman’s parents, Erik Bergman and Karin Åkerblom,

Is the title arbitrary? To provide unearned gravitas? Was I thinking of the film? Are there references?

Familiar subjects: art, reality, hype, art blather, fame, why I’m not famous too, I get no respect, envy, competence and not, films, pretentious BDSM performance art, fantasy, high-low art, copying art…
